Meet Our Staff
Rev. Danny Jones
Senior Pastor
Danny Jones is a native of Buford, Georgia. He is a graduate of North Gwinnett High School, North Georgia College, and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Danny was ordained into the ministry in 1990 and after serving as pastor in 3 other churches, he became pastor of Northlake Baptist Church in 2007. Danny and his wife, Laura, have 2 sons, Tommy and David.
Danny was born and raised in Lawrenceville, GA. He graduated Dacula HS in 2004. He graduated, and commissioned from North Georgia College and State University in 2008. He currently is a Chaplain Candidate with the U.S. Army Reserves. He will graduate with his Masters of Divinity on May 12, 2012 from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He has been on staff at Northlake Baptist Church since April 2009, and was ordained into the ministry Sept 6, 2009. He is married to Carly Melin, they have 3 sons, Jonah, Huxton, and Eli. Danny in his family currently reside in Clermont, GA.
Quentin Self
Minister of Students
Quentin was born in Dahlonega, Georgia, and graduated from Lumpkin County High School in 2008. He graduated as an English Major from Piedmont College in Demorest, Georgia in May of 2011. Quentin began seminary work at a satellite campus in Atlanta through New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He was licensed into the ministry in 2009, and joined the staff at Northlake in March of 2010. Quentin was married to his wife Carmen on July 9, 2011.
Terry Whitworth
Minister of Music
Terry was born in Toccoa, GA and with his wife Kaye, has been a part of Northlake Baptist Church since 1988. With a career in the electrical utility operations field for thirty years, Terry has served as bi-vocational Minister or Music at Northlake since 2006. He and his wife have served in the expanding ministries at Northlake over the years and have reaped great rewards in their spiritual lives. In his own words, “I surrendered my life to Christ on May 8, 1968. Today after following his call I proclaim Jesus as Lord of my life because of that surrender. I have always been amazed to see Christ change and mold men and women who truly accept his gift of salvation. I minister in music with a heart of thanksgiving for all He has done.” Terry and Kaye are parents to daughter & son-in-law Candace and Joel Brown, and have one granddaughter, Olivia Kaye Brown.
